Hey! Nice to meet You.
My name is Raunak Roy and I am a Freshman in the class of 2029. I currently live in North Carolina and I aspire to become an Astrophysicist. I am an overachiever who keeps a perfect GPA and wins Math and Science Competitions.
Astrophysics interests me because it combines deep theoretical questions with observations of the universe, from black holes to dark matter. I am especially motivated to pursue this field at a high academic level, with the goal of acquiring a PHD at a prestigious university like Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Duke, or MIT. At this university, I can develop strong research skills. My primary ambition is to become an astrophysicist and contribute to advancing our understanding of the cosmos. Ultimately, I hope to work at NASA, where research connects fundamental physics with real-world space missions.
I put this little website together partly for myself to have my own small corner of the internet, but mainly to share my love of outer space with as many people as possible. Everything on this website was created by just me. I'm always amazed by how many people genuinely want to learn about space but just don't know where to find good, reliable information. This site is meant to be a go-to collection of interesting facts, information, and hours of entertainment for anyone who's even a little curious about the cosmos. The goal is simple: make space feel like something everyone can connect with, and give people of all knowledge levels a place to learn, grow, and maybe even fall in love with the universe.
